The Beatrix Theater in Utrecht was the setting for a magnificent National Cycling Gala on Monday, October 21, where the absolute highlights of the cycling season were celebrated. In a unique ambiance, over 500 guests enjoyed an evening of sports, entertainment and inspiration.

Highlights of the evening

The evening featured outstanding performances and special moments. To loud applause, the following winners were honored:

Talent of the Year: Tibor del Grosso
Team of the Year: Track Sprinters
Cyclist of the Year: Marianne Vos
Cyclist of the Year: Mathieu van der Poel

There was a special moment for cycling icon Robert Gesink. Cabaret artist and performer Leo Alkemade, who with his band De Kopgroep took all attendees into the race and the cycling year 2024 in his own unique way, put him in the spotlight and also managed to surprise the audience with a dazzling show.

Review and inspiration

The Courage Podcast provided an engaging look back at the women's cycling season, highlighting once again the achievements of Dutch cyclists. All this made the evening not only festive, but also inspiring for the cycling enthusiasts in the room.
