In a recent interview with Nieuwsfiets Media & Events, Ralf van Heugten, Dutch Cycling Week project manager, looks back on the first edition in 2024 and looks ahead to 2025. He emphasizes that the Dutch Cycling Week is much more than one big exhibition: it is a platform for both B2B and B2C events, focused on cycling stimulation, vitality and sustainable mobility. New initiatives, such as a successful Cycle Mobility Summit and a BMX event for youth, are the result of this. He also sees that brands and visitors value smaller, specialized events where impact and relevance are more important than large visitor numbers. Van Heugten expects Dutch Cycling Week to continue to grow and respond to current issues in the coming year, such as zero-emission zones and legislation around sustainability.
