The Stromer ST7 has won the title VAB Bike of the Year 2026 in Belgium in the Speed Pedelec category. With this, the Swiss brand once again confirms its strong position within the premium segment of electric mobility. After the ST5 Smart.Shift's win last year, the Stromer ST7 is now also in the prizes. The award, organized by VAB, is judged not only by trade journalists and mobility experts, but also by everyday users. More than seventy consumers tested the nominated bikes in realistic traffic situations and during daily rides. Precisely this combination of technical assessment and practical experience gives the award extra weight.
Comfort as a distinguishing factor
What particularly stood out during the tests was the exceptionally refined riding experience of the ST7. The speed pedelec was developed for intensive riders and commuters who want to combine comfort with powerful performance. In particular, the automatic shifting system received high praise from the jury and testers. The bike continuously adapts to the user's riding style and pedaling frequency, making the support feel natural and fluid. This allows one's attention to remain fully focused on the ride. Instead of a sporty, aggressive riding experience, the ST7 clearly opts for balance: powerful when needed, but at the same time controlled, quiet and comfortable.
