An exclusive gala dinner
This year's National Cycling Gala is at the Beatrix Theater at the Royal Jaarbeurs in Utrecht and promises to be an unforgettable evening for cycling enthusiasts and VIPs! A unique setting to enjoy a special ambiance with relations. Afterwards, guests are invited to an exclusive performance by Leo Alkemade and his band, De Kopgroep, including the presentation of the Wielrenner van het Jaar Awards.
Insight into the theater program
Think of an ode to Marianne Vos and her world championship jerseys, a tribute to the cycling retiree Robert Gesink, the demarrages of Mathieu van der Poel and Puck Pieterse, songs about the race and an extensive review of the highs and lows of the 2024 cycling year. There will also be a festive drink for prominent people, including the hosts of cycling podcast De Rode Lantaarn, as well as the audience. You will suddenly find yourself standing next to cycling heroes of the past and present!

With a strong band and a beautiful Dutch-language record, Leo Alkemade brings his theater concert In het wiel to the stage. In this unique show he connects cycling with life, assisted by his musical friends from De Kopgroep. An evening full of music, stories and cycling!
During the theater show by Leo Alkemade and De Kopgroep, the Wielrenner van het Jaar Awards will be presented to the audience in attendance, as well as a look back at the 2024 cycling season from a Dutch perspective. There will also be several prominent figures on stage. Expect a festive setting!
After the theater show and the presentation of the Cyclist of the Year Awards, there will be a festive drink in the Mies Bouwman Foyer to end the cycling season together. The audience present is cordially invited to this.
